Eight common signs of a Grow Op:

  • Windows are covered so people can't see inside
  • Lack of human activity
  • Sounds of electrical generators and fans
  • Bright lights
  • Skunky smell (marihuana growing)
  • Increased traffic at odd times of day or night
  • Unusual garbage (fertilizer containers)
  • Excessive security

There's more than just marihuana in a Grow Op:

  • Greater fire risk
  • Toxic mould
  • Highly volatile chemicals
  • Electrocutions / Property damage
  • Environmental damage
  • Increased presence of guns
  • Increased threat of violence

When children live in Grow Op homes, their lives are threatened by:

  • Toxic mould
  • Volatile chemicals
  • Violence
  • Abuse and neglect
  • Greater risk of house fires
  • Threat of electrocution and burns
  • Increased presence of guns
  • Increased threat of violence

There's no such thing as a 'safe' home when marihuana is involved.
